Bagots are an extremely rare breed of goat that are on the rare breeds survival trust's endangered watchlist. Bagots are often used now for conservation grazing. The first account of the breed is of a herd at the Blithfield Estate in Staffordshire owned by Sir John Bagot in 1389, the herd was given to him by King Richard II.
