Balwen Welsh Mountains are a rare breed of sheep that are on the minority list of the RBST watch list. Balwen is Welsh for ‘white blaze’. This small but hardy breed came originally from the upper Tywi valley in Wales. They have fewer health problems than today’s larger breeds and are easy to manage.
